ABOUT “CHANA Subdistrict Municipality”
Chana Subdistrict Municipality covers an area of approximately 1.5 square kilometers, located in Chana District, Songkhla Province, with a population of 6,852 people (as of February 2023). Approximately 75% of the population are Muslim, and 24% are Buddhist.
Chana serves as a transportation hub connecting the three southern border provinces to Hat Yai District, as well as a transit route to neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia. The municipality aims to develop into a “Livable Chana”, emphasizing the use of digital innovation in five key areas:
