ABOUT SUPHUNBURI
Suphan Buri is one of the provinces in 25 provinces of central western Thailand northwest of Bangkok. There is a lowland area along the Tha Chin River. Most of the farms and forests of the population are engaged in agriculture. General topography in the north is flat, with some mountains in the original areas of Ba’ Nang Buat and U-Thong, but it is a small mountain. The southern part is a plain. Throughout the west and north, there are many forests and mountains in Dan Chang District. The total area is about 5,358.008 square kilometers or about 3,348,755 rai, representing 5.2 percent of the central region. It is about 107 kilometers from Bangkok (along National Highway No. 340) by train about 142 kilometers.
