ABOUT “(Ayothaya)”
“Mueang Ayothaya” is the former name of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, prior to the establishment of the Ayutthaya Kingdom in 1350 AD. Currently, the “Ayothaya Town Municipality” is a local government entity within Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province that still uses the name Ayothaya to preserve its historical identity.

CITY GOALS
To focus on sustainably enhancing the quality of life for citizens by developing safe, clean infrastructure and environments with efficient management systems using smart technology. This approach includes promoting public participation in conserving and developing the city to make it more livable.
Concurrently, public services and healthcare will be modernized to support an aging society and ensure community safety. Lifelong learning and digital skills will be promoted to empower individuals and the community to use technology creatively. This also involves developing the local economy and creative tourism through digital innovation to build long-term economic strength and sustainability for the city of Ayothaya.
CITY CONTEXT & NEEDS
Ayothaya Town Municipality is located in the old town district of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, a UNESCO World Heritage City. It has a distinct identity in history, culture, and tourism.
The city has a limited area but a relatively high density of population and tourists. The area consists of traditional communities, markets, cultural tourist attractions, and important government offices. Additionally, it faces risks from flooding, air pollution (such as PM2.5 dust), and traffic problems.
